Volunteer Opportunities
There are lots of opportunities to contribute to the success of the Charity by becoming a volunteer. You’d join a team of over 200 individuals who currently give their time at the Central YMCA Club. Formal training and qualifications are very much part of our volunteer programme, so whether you want work experience in the crèche, wish to qualify in how to deliver an exercise class or would like to apply to join our Board of Trustees, we may be able to help you to help others! There is also an opportunity to get involved in supporting the paid One KX staff in developing the future direction of the centre and its programme, through involvement in one of the steering groups.

YPeople supports over 300 staff working across a range of professional disciplines including health and fitness, creative arts and education. We are currently looking for an HR Assistant to join our small and friendly team. You will be super organised, able to multi-task, and have excellent administration skills. You will be responsible for recruitment administration and will provide other essential administration support to the team working alongside the HR Advisor. You may have already have had some experience in a HR environment, or studied towards a HR qualification, but what is really important is that you have a genuine interest in HR, excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, yet confident approach that enables you to communicate with people at all levels.
