The Size/Style of the Text and disable images for faster downloading
You can make the text either bigger or smaller to suit you or change the font style. You can also disable images download for faster access. How you do it depends on the system and web browser, which you use. This is how to change in the most commonly used browsers:
Internet Explorer, Netscape, Mozilla, Firefox and Safari.
Internet Explorer
How to change the font size
Go to 'view', select 'text size' and choose the font size.
How to change the font style
Go to 'tools', then ' internet options', select 'accessibility' and click on 'ignore font style specified on web pages'. Click ok.
Disable images download for faster access
Go to 'tools', then 'internet options', select 'advanced', look for multimedia and untick 'show pictures'. Click ok
Netscape
How to change the font size
Go to 'view', select 'text zoom' and choose the font size.

Go to 'edit', then 'preferences', select 'appearance' and click on 'fonts' and change as desired. Click ok.
Disable images download for faster access
Go to 'file', then ' preferences', select 'multimedia'. On the drop down menu select ' show no images'. Click ok.
Mozilla Firefox

Go to 'view', select 'text size' and choose the font size.

Go to 'tools', then ' options', select 'content' and in font & colors, change as desired. Click ok.

Go to 'tools', then ' options', untick 'load images'. Click ok.
Safari
How to change the font size.
Go to "View" in the top bar of the browser, then choose "Make text bigger" or "Make text smaller" in the dropdown menu.
How to change the font style
To change the colours, font style etc then you will need to provide your own stylesheet which can be assigned in the Safari preferences:
Select "Preferences" from the Safari menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click on the "Advanced" button on the preferences pane.
Click on the "Stylesheet" drop down menu.
Select "Other.." from the drop down menu.
Using the "File Open" dialogue box, navigate to your personal stylesheet.
Select your stylesheet and click on the "Choose" button.
Safari will now use your own personal settings for how a web page should look.
You can also specify a minimum font size for a web page. This means that those web pages which have a font size smaller than you specified will automatically have the the size increased to your minimum. Applies to all web pages.
Select "Preferences" from the Safari menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click on the "Advanced" button on the preferences pane.
Tick the "Universal Access" check box and select a minimum font size from the drop down menu to the right. |
